PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 3 Drexel women's squash team played its final match before the MASC Championships, taking a 7-2 setback against the No. 4 Princeton Tigers on Wednesday afternoon.
The top of the ladder performed well for DU. Alina Bushma pulled in the opening point of the match for the Dragons with a 11-7, 11-7, 11-8 win in the first position against Molly Chadwick. To close the day, Karina Tyma rallied for a 4-11, 11-5, 5-11, 11-9, 14-12 victory versus Liyen Teoh at number two.
In the ninth spot, Ciara Richards twice went to extra points with Abigail Schuster in a 17-15, 12-14, 11-2, 11-4 final. Emma Bartley forced five sets at number seven in an 11-7, 6-11, 5-11, 11-7, 11-8 setback against Olivia Robinson.
The Dragons return to action on February 4 when they compete at the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championships.
