PHILADELPHIA - Keishana Washington of women's basketball and Josh Stillings of wrestling have been named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the period from January 2-8, 2023.
Washington averaged 28.5 points and 4.5 rebounds, while shooting 51.1 percent (23-for-45) from the floor and went 5-for-9 from three-point range in a 2-0 week for the Dragons. On Friday against Delaware, she posted her seventh, 30-point game of the season with four rebounds and a steal. On Sunday, she posted 27 points and five boards, also dishing three assists. Her 10th point of the game on Sunday moved her into second place on Drexel's career scoring list.
Stillings took third at 184 lbs at the F&M Open on Friday. He went 5-1 on the day and his only loss was to No. 20 Tate Samuelson of Lehigh. In the round of 32, the redshirt senior won by fall over Caleb Roe of Presbyterian in 2:05. His performance helped the Dragons to a sixth place finish out of 27 teams.
