About the Drexel Family Portal
Welcome to the Drexel Family Portal! We hope you find this information and access valuable.
The Drexel Family Portal is a closed network provided by Drexel University for family members only of prospective and current Drexel undergraduate students through graduation.
In order to protect the members of the Portal the following acceptable use guidelines have been developed.
Drexel reserves the right to block, remove, and/or edit any content posted to the Portal or any Portal member that in Drexel’s sole opinion, violates these guidelines. Yet, Drexel is under no obligation to block, remove, and/or edit any such content or member even if such content and/or member are reported to Drexel. While Drexel will do its best to monitor the Portal, Drexel does not represent or warrant that it will be able to monitor and/or react to posted content.
Bullying and Harassment: Drexel does not tolerate bullying or harassment. Portal members are welcome to speak freely on matters of public interest relating to Drexel, but content that appears to purposefully target individuals with the intention of degrading, shaming, or otherwise demeaning other Portal members is prohibited. This includes repeatedly targeting members of the Portal with unwelcome posts.
Hate Speech: All hate speech is prohibited, which includes content that directly attacks people based on their:
• Race
• Ethnicity
• National origin
• Religious affiliation
• Sexual orientation
• Sex, gender, or gender identity
• Serious disabilities or diseases
Additionally, if Drexel interprets your posts as aggressive, it reserves the right to remove you from the Portal and/or to limit your ability to interact within the Portal. Aggressive posting includes, but is not limited to, multiple or erratic posts within a short period of time, and/or posts that target a specific individual or individuals.
Other Prohibited Content/Behavior: (1) Any other illegal behavior or the promotion of illegal behavior; (2) Posting misinformation or defamatory content; (3) Posting off-topic content (ex. Political in nature); (4) Use of profanity or otherwise inappropriate language; (5) Improper use of Drexel’s intellectual property (e.g., trademarks, copyrighted material); and/or (6) Using access to the Portal to collect personally identifiable information for improper purposes.
When possible, documents will be posted to the Portal sharing the most accurate and up-to-date information with parents and families. If you believe that you are being or have been harassed, have been the victim of hate speech, or want to share a concern about another member’s behavior or language, please email family@drexel.edu. Where can I find the schedule of events for the week prior to the start of classes. I believe there were events goings on for the students beginning the day of move in.
