For six of the last seven years, the Drexel community has had the opportunity to gather and celebrate with a University-wide Commencement ceremony at Citizens Bank Park. We regret to inform you that, because of scheduling conflicts at Citizens Bank Park, we will not be able to host the event at the ballpark this year. The University has undertaken an exhaustive search in partnership with the Phillies to look at other venue opportunities, but none are available in the size and dates required to host our entire graduating class and their families.
While we may not be able to celebrate in a University-wide gathering, our 2023 Commencement events will continue with our college- and school-specific ceremonies that will take place Wednesday, June 14 through Friday, June 16, and include degree conferral with individual recognition of all graduates as they are called to the stage by name. Although we are disappointed by the news regarding a University-wide ceremony, we are nonetheless excited for the many opportunities we will have to celebrate the Class of 2023 with their fellow Dragons, friends, and you — their family. For more information on this year’s calendar of events, please visit the Commencement site.
When do we think the College of Engineering commencement might end? It starts at 1pm. Thank you.
